The qualifications that add value to your professionalism
Coach, mentor, team coach and supervisor: EMCC qualifications attest to competence, adherence to a shared code of ethics and continuous development.
A European and internationally valid recognition to help your profession grow and build the trust of those who choose your services.
Why get a qualification
An EMCC qualification is not a simple title: it is the verified testimony of a professional journey grounded in competence, ethics, and continuous growth.
Recognized expertise
The qualification certifies skills and practice hours evaluated according to international standards, building trust with clients and organizations.
Shared ethics
Every qualified professional adheres to the Global Code of Ethics, a guarantee of fairness, confidentiality, and responsibility.
Continuous development
The qualification is maintained through updating, supervision, and reflective practice: a professionalism that evolves over time.
A qualification for every form of accompaniment
EMCC Global recognises four individual qualifications, each dedicated to a specific area of professional practice.
The qualification for individual coaching and mentoring. It recognizes professionalism through a portfolio of evidence, practice hours, supervision, and continuous development.
The qualification for team coaching. It certifies the ability to accompany real teams, with evidence of practice, reflectivity, and specific supervision on working with groups.
The qualification for supervision. It recognizes the ability to provide ethical and reflective supervision for coaches, mentors, and team coaches in accordance with the EMCC Supervision Framework.
The qualification for those who design, manage, and evaluate internal mentoring programs in organizations and training providers.
From initial practice to mastery
The EIA is the entry-level qualification of the EMCC system: It forms the basis from which all other qualifications are accessed, which presuppose the possession of the EIA. For this reason, we present it here in detail. It is divided into four progressive levels, defined on the basis of hours of practice, depth of competence, and professional responsibility.
Foundations
For those who have started the practice and integrate basic skills with ethical and reflective awareness.
Established practice
For professionals with continuous experience and a diverse range of clients and contexts.
Advanced practice
For those who operate with broad autonomy, extensive experience, and the ability to work on complex issues.
Mastery
The highest level: sophisticated practice, contribution to the development of the profession and the community.
The other qualifications start from here. ITCA and IPMA presuppose possession of the EIA and in turn follow the four levels from Foundation to Master. The ESIA qualification for supervision requires the Senior-level EIA.
Certificate of Professional Qualification L. 4/2013
In addition to European qualifications, EMCC Italy issues its members with the Professional Qualification Certificate of Services pursuant to Law 4/2013, recognized by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT): a tool for protection and transparency for those who choose a professional.
Updating
We are reviewing the criteria for issuing the Certificate. As soon as the new procedure is defined, we will notify the Members with all the instructions on how to request it.
What does it guarantee the customer
- Recognition in accordance with Italian law governing professions not organized into professional associations.
- Adherence to the Code of Ethics and service quality standards.
- Greater transparency and protection in the professional-client relationship.
Two roads to qualify
You can obtain an EMCC qualification in two ways: by attending a qualified training program, or, for the EIA only, by accessing the facilitation process.
Enroll in a certified program
Complete an EMCC-accredited training program at a recognized school or organization. Upon completion, once you have met the required criteria, you will receive the corresponding certification. Each type of program leads to a different certification:
Access the facilitation process
For the EIA certification alone, you can obtain recognition even without a formal training program by submitting a portfolio of your professional work. EMCC Italia guides you every step of the way.
